Editorial policy
Last updated 21 September 2026
This page states how radovin.online is written, how it is paid for, and what we will not do. It exists so that you can judge our output against a standard we have put in writing, rather than against a claim of “independence” that costs nothing to make.
1. Who writes here
Editorial content on radovin.online is written and signed by Andrew Walker, who is also the responsible editor under Czech law and is named in our legal notice. Every article carries a named byline, a publication date and a last-updated date.
We do not publish anonymously, we do not use invented author personas, and we do not publish text supplied by an advertiser as though it were our own. If we ever publish material produced by someone else, it will be labelled as such at the top of the page.
2. How we establish facts
We work in this order:
- Primary sources first. For a product claim, that is the manufacturer’s own documentation, terms of service, privacy policy and pricing page — not a press release and not another review.
- Independent testing bodies for performance claims. For antivirus, that means AV-TEST and AV-Comparatives, which publish their methodology alongside their results. We name the lab and the test period whenever we cite one.
- Institutional reporting for threat and risk statements. ENISA, Europol, national CERTs, NIST and CISA. We link the report rather than repeating a figure out of context.
- Explicit uncertainty where sources run out. If we cannot establish something, we say so in the article, in plain words, rather than filling the gap with a confident sentence.
Where our account differs from the manufacturer’s current published information, the manufacturer’s information prevails and ours is out of date.
3. What we do and do not test
We do not operate a malware laboratory. We therefore do not publish detection rates, benchmark timings or performance figures of our own. Our how we test page sets out exactly what our review process does cover and where its limits are.
4. How this site is funded
radovin.online has no subscription and no paywall. It is funded in two ways:
- Advertising. Traffic to this site is bought through advertising platforms.
- Affiliate commission. If you follow a partner link and subscribe or purchase, BRUGAL s.r.o. receives a commission from the advertiser. You pay the same price either way; the commission comes out of the advertiser’s margin, not your wallet.
Every commercial link is labelled “Partner link” where it appears, carries a note explaining the commission, and is preceded by a disclosure at the top of the page and immediately below the headline. The full arrangement is described in our advertising disclosure.
5. Advertiser independence
- Advertisers do not see articles before publication and have no approval right over them.
- Advertisers cannot buy a conclusion, a score, a ranking position or the removal of a criticism.
- Commission rates play no part in which products we write about or what we conclude about them.
- Where a fact is unhelpful to the advertiser, it stays in the article. Our current review states that the product covers five devices rather than the unlimited figure the brand is known for, that it cannot be bought on its own, that its performance sub-score is its weakest and fell year on year, and that Microsoft Defender is already included with Windows.
- If an advertiser asks us to remove accurate criticism, we refuse and we would rather end the relationship.
6. What we refuse to do
These are not aspirations. They are rules, and breaking one is grounds for taking a page down.
- No invented testimonials. We publish no fictional customer quotes, no “reader-submitted” stories that no reader submitted, and no invented personal experience. An earlier version of our main article used that framing; it was removed and the removal is logged in the article.
- No invented ratings. No star scores, no “9.4/10” badges and no comparison tables whose numbers we cannot source. A score with no methodology behind it is decoration.
- No fabricated statistics or specifications. If we cannot point to where a number comes from, the number does not go in.
- No artificial urgency. No countdown timers, no “only 3 left”, no “offer ends tonight” unless the advertiser has genuinely published that deadline, no fake stock levels and no exit-intent pressure pop-ups.
- No guaranteed-result claims. No security product makes anyone safe, stops all malware or guarantees anything. We will not write that it does, and we correct copy that implies it.
- No impersonation. We do not present this site as a news organisation, as a manufacturer, or as an official channel of any brand. We are an advertising-funded publisher and we say so at the top of every page.
- No dark patterns. No disguised advertising, no links that look editorial but are not, no consent dialogs designed to be misread. We removed the tracking instead of designing a better banner.
- No scare copy. We will not manufacture fear about a threat in order to sell a subscription against it.
7. Use of automated tools
Drafting and editing tools may be used in production, but every factual claim published here is checked against a source by a person, and Andrew Walker takes responsibility for everything that appears under his byline. We do not publish unreviewed generated text.
8. Corrections procedure
We would rather be corrected than be wrong.
- Tell us. E-mail info@radovin.online with the page address and what is wrong. A link to a source is helpful but not required.
- We acknowledge within five working days.
- We check it against primary sources.
- If we were wrong, we fix it and we say so. Factual corrections of substance are recorded in a dated correction note on the page itself, not silently edited away. The correction log on our main review shows how this looks in practice.
- If we were right, we explain why and cite the source we relied on.
- Typographical and formatting fixes are made without a note.
If you are an advertiser or brand owner and believe a page misrepresents your product, use the same address. We will look at it on the merits and correct genuine errors. We will not remove accurate criticism.
9. If you are not satisfied
Write to Andrew Walker at info@radovin.online or to BRUGAL s.r.o., Mezi Domky 2854/14, Žižkov, 130 00 Praha 3, Czech Republic. Complaints about advertising practice in the Czech Republic may also be addressed to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.cz), and data-protection complaints to the Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).
